Forsters supporting Centrepoint
The firm has an ongoing commitment to and partnership with Centrepoint, an organisation that works with disadvantaged young people in London,
Centrepoint works to support young people who are on a downward spiral, to give them a chance to turn their lives around and build a more fulfilling future. They have a hostel in nearby Soho which has “benefited” from paintbrushes wielded by Forsters staff, who also mentor some of the homeless youngsters in helping them to implement the plan they will have put together to achieve their personal goals.
Fund raising initiatives have varied from an annual treasure hunt around Mayfair for staff and clients to a winter sleepout on the streets of London and a traditional Xmas fete with home produce gifts, not to mention leaping out of aeroplanes from a great height. These sit alongside the continuous efforts of our runners in national and London based races and any excuse for a fundraising sweepstake.
Forsters is also proud to have sponsored the Superfoods garden presented by Centrepoint at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2010, and is delighted that the garden won a Bronze Lindley award for exhibits of special scientific or educational interest. To read more about the award click here.
Paul Roberts, Managing Partner, said:
"The garden demonstrated how superfoods are vital for healing and health, and showcased the work carried out by Centrepoint to help homeless young people adopt positive and healthy lifestyles. Helping to create a sustainable lifestyle echoes our own commitment to green values."
More recently, Forsters has supported Prince Harry's efforts to raise funds for Centrepoint at a Cirencester polo day. To read more about the match for the Jerudong Park Trophy click here
Forsters also supported Centrepoint by taking a table at Arsenal's Annual Charity Ball for 2010/11. The club's manager Arsène Wenger and the Arsenal first-team squad were joined by a host of celebrities for the event at Emirates Stadium on Thursday 19th May. The evening's entertainment was led by comedian Dara O'Briain and to the delight of guests also featured performances from Bryan Ferry and Eliza Doolittle:

June 2011 also saw Forsters supporting the charity at Newbury charity race evening. Seven races took place including the Forsters LLP Fillies Handicap Stake. The highlight of the evening for the Forsters guests was when they were given the opportunity to help Forsters senior partner, Guy Jordan, judge the best turned out horse in the race sponsored by the firm and watch from the royal box (although no royalty were present!) Commercial property partner, Glenn Dunn, also attended both in his capacity as Chair of the firm's CSR group and as guest vocalist to the dance band which entertained the 350 guests following the charity auction and sit-down dinner.
