Community
As a firm, we take our responsibilities to the wider community in which we live and work very seriously.
Forsters' partners, lawyers and staff actively support a variety of community initiatives, from fundraising for local charities to pro bono work with youth organisations, charitable trusts and Citizens’ Advice Bureaux.
We are very pleased to be able to support a new venture, The London Employer Accord, which aims to develop job skills and provide opportunities for disadvantaged Londoners.
In 2007 the firm supported two main charities, Centrepoint, an organisation that works with disadvantaged young people in London, and Age Concern. Forsters' partners and staff raised thousands of pounds for these two charities by taking part in the London Marathon in April, the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October and 13 people jumped from a plane at 12,000 feet in September!
Forsters is also proud to be sponsor of the theatre company Cheek by Jowl. The two year sponsorship, which started in June 2007, will support the company's commitment to stage major productions worldwide.
We also recently launched a major sustainability initiative which acknowledges our responsibilities in reducing our use of natural resources and promoting sustainable working practices. To read more about environmental and sustainability issues click here.
