Forsters recognised in The Times' Best Law Firms 2021 Listing

Forsters, one of London's leading Real Estate and Private Wealth law firms, has been recognised in The Times' Best Law Firms 2021 listing.

The listing, published on 5 November 2020, recognises the best lawyers for business, public and private-client law across England, Wales and Scotland, as chosen by lawyers.

Forsters is commended for its Real Estate and Private Wealth law capabilities, with particular mentions for our Commercial Real Estate, Family, Inheritance & Succession, and Tax teams. Recognition for our "thriving" Dispute Resolution team and a 'top three practice' listing for our Landlord & Tenant team are further notable highlights.

The piece also references the recent expansion of our Real Estate team during lockdown with the addition of three partners and ten real estate lawyers from Orrick, as well as the appointment of Emily Exton as Managing Partner in January 2020, which The Times states: "gave Forsters distinction as one of the few leading firms with an all-female leadership team."

Forsters' inclusion in the listing continues to showcase the strength and breadth of expertise across the firm and solidifies our reputation as a go-to firm for real estate and private wealth advice.

Andrew Crabbie, Partner and Head of Commercial Real Estate, commented: "The Commercial Real Estate team has in challenging times gone from strength to strength and continues to advise clients on exciting and significant deals. I am delighted the hard work of the team has been recognised. We take pride in providing an exceptional service to our clients and it is satisfying for this to be recognised by other lawyers in The Times' Best Law Firms rankings."

Natasha Rees, Partner and Head of Property Litigation commented: "Very pleased that we have been recognised as one of the top three firms in the landlord and tenant category. We work with landlords and tenants taking a commercial approach to issues which ensures we get the best result for our clients. The team at Forsters have been working exceptionally hard over the last year so it is good to see this recognised in The Times."

Xavier Nicholas, Partner in our Tax, Inheritance & Succession team commented: "Forsters has long been known for its expertise in advising on all aspects of private client matters. Its recognition in this year's The Times' Best Law Firms in the listings for tax, inheritance and succession reflects the firm's particular strengths in these areas. In a year that has presented challenges for families and businesses throughout the world on a scale that is unprecedented in recent history, it is particularly satisfying to be able to put our experience to use in helping our clients to plan for the future."

Jo Edwards, Partner and Head of Family commented "Forsters' Family team are delighted to be recognised in The Times' Best Law Firms 2021, the third year running that we have been included. It comes on the back of another stellar year for the team, adding another two associates to our ranks and building on strategic growth last year with the addition of partners Simon Blain and Matthew Brunsdon Tully. The result has been consolidation and the strengthening of what was an already successful and busy team. The quality and complexity of our cases, the size of wealth involved and the broad range of those who refer work to us, are all testament to that and inclusion in The Times' Best Law Firms is the icing on the top."
