Forsters hires Benedict Walton as new partner in Dispute Resolution team

Forsters is pleased to announce the appointment of new partner Benedict (Ben) Walton who is joining the Dispute Resolution team.

Ben, a highly qualified and experienced commercial litigator, joins from Jones Day where he advised and acted for a wide range of clients including large corporates (including a major hotel chain), banks, trustees and insolvency practitioners, as well as high net worth individuals. He has had significant success (including at trial) when running complex high value, multi-party and often multi-jurisdictional litigation and has combined this with the skilful and commercial handling of smaller scale, fast paced volume litigation. As such, his experience fits well with the existing practice of the Forsters Dispute Resolution team.

Forsters' Head of Dispute Resolution Emily Exton said: "I am delighted to welcome Ben on board as a new partner. His arrival is part of our strategy to continue to strengthen and grow the Dispute Resolution practice of Forsters in line with the growth of the firm generally. As well as assisting with the management and supervision of the Dispute Resolution team, and continuing to develop his own contacts and practice, Ben's focus over the coming years will be to work with and support our Corporate group whose client base and practice aligns well with his experience to date. Ben's ability and personality make him well suited to Forsters and we are looking forward to him being part of our continued success".

Ben Walton commented: "I am extremely pleased to be joining Forsters. Both the Dispute Resolution team and the wider firm have a formidable reputation and it's a hugely exciting new chapter for me".

Our Insights

“Forsters have a large team of well-trained partners, associates and junior staff. There’s a great level of exposure given to junior staff, which enables them to reduce costs and improve training whilst not jeopardising service level. They are experts in their field and collaborate across all aspects of real estate to provide great service.”
