Regeneration Scheme at Cherry Orchard Road, East Croydon

Forsters acted for Menta Developments in relation to a regeneration scheme at Cherry Orchard Road, East Croydon, a landmark mixed use development scheme adjacent to East Croydon station.  Forsters continues to provide property, planning and finance advice for the project which will comprise two residential buildings, one of which, at 55 storeys will be the tallest residential tower in the UK.

The development will also include a 165 bed four star hotel with 22 luxury service apartments, more than 17,000 square feet of office accommodation, a restaurant and a bar.  The scheme has been designed by Ken Shuttleworth's team at Make Architects, the practice responsible for the iconic Gherkin Building in the City of London.  Complex negotiations have also been concluded with Network Rail in relation to the interface between the Menta Scheme and the adjoining railway station where a new passenger footbridge is to be constructed.

Eugene McMahon led the team acting for Menta Developments at Forsters assisted by Tim Taylor and Victoria Edwards
