Jo Edwards calls for a pact to not engage in the “divorce day circus”

Jo was quoted in the Times Brief, taking a pre-emptive stand against the now popular notion that the first working Monday in January is the most popular day for starting divorce proceedings.

"Suggesting that it is normal to rush ahead and issue a petition at a certain time of the year is irresponsible and insensitive. It sends the wrong message about the importance of sensitivity to the other spouse and would undermine efforts to secure an amicable divorce process for both parties." Jo seeks to dispel the myth that this time of year sees an abnormal spike in the number of divorce petitions issued.
