Podcast - A focus on Corporate Occupiers

Miri Stickland talks to Glenn Dunn, head of Forsters’ corporate occupiers sector group, about the current central London office market, key considerations when planning an office relocation and the recent move to agile working for the Forsters’ Commercial Real Estate team in our new offices at Berkeley Square House.

“Early planning is key. Considering the current mismatch between supply and demand in the central London office market, occupiers are starting to look at potential office moves further ahead but will want to bring delivery of new space in towards the lease expiry on their current space in order to avoid double-overheads.”

“A lease event is a great opportunity to review your business strategy and consider whether there are potentially missed opportunities. Having flexibility in your space is key where you are looking over a longer term in order to accommodate growth or contraction within your business.”

“We view the initial heads of terms as a joint effort between the agent, the client and the lawyer. The more thorough that they are in clarity and detail, the more time it will save in negotiating the legal documents.”
