Idina GlynSenior Associate, Private Client
Idina specialises in advising ultra high net worth clients with UK property, particularly those with landed estates.
Her clients include owners of country houses and estates, vineyards/wineries, super-prime London property, and development land. Idina's focus is on high value transactions which usually involve tax considerations, sub-sales, tight deadlines or bespoke commercial terms. Her particular area of expertise is the overlap between property and tax law, where the objective is to ensure that high value property is held, bought or sold in the best structure for the client and their family.
Alongside her property work, Idina advises landed clients on tax, trust and charity matters. She has experience in handling significant sales, gifts and offers in lieu of prominent works of art, including those qualifying for exemptions from capital taxes. Idina has registered UK charities for landed estates, including those established to hold works of art or undertake charitable projects on estates, and has worked alongside US counsel to secure tax-efficient donations from US individuals.
She is recognised as a 'Rising Star' Landed Estates Lawyer in the Spear's Property Advisers Index 2022.
Idina read History and Politics at Oxford and trained at Forsters.
