Nicola is a solicitor (admitted in New South Wales, Australia) in the Dispute Resolution team.
She has extensive dispute resolution experience, having represented banking corporations, insurers, insureds, medical and financial professionals, and government agencies in litigated matters. Nicola has a breadth of litigation experience on matters including professional and medical negligence, general public liability claims, breach of insurance contract, financial and banking disputes. She was most recently involved in administering the Stolen Generation compensation scheme to survivors of the Commonwealth of Australia's prior policy of displacement of indigenous Aboriginal Australians.
Nicola has broad advocacy experience having represented clients in the Local, District, Supreme, Court of Appeal and High Court of Australia. She also has experience across forms of alternative dispute resolution, including informal settlements, mediations and arbitrations.
She started her career at Moray & Agnew Solicitors, prior to working at DLA Piper Australia and Norton Rose Fulbright in Sydney. She graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Communications (Public Communication), after a semester studying at the University of Westminster. She was admitted as a solicitor with the New South Wales Law Society in April 2011, and the High Court of Australia in 2012.
