Insights from Australia on UK National Security and Investment Act 2021 – James Hamilton writes for Acquisitions Daily

Corporate Associate, James Hamilton, has co-authored an article with Christine Fleer of Arnold Bloch Leibler in Australia for Acquisitions Daily.

The National Security and Investment Act 2021 has now received Royal Assent before Parliament. How it will work in practice is yet to be seen, as secondary legislation is still required to be enacted to enable the new regime to take full effect. Fortunately, Australia has had a similar regime in place since 1975 through which we can begin to understand how this will impact the UK.
