Senior Chartered Legal Executive, Planning

Lauren is a Senior Chartered Legal Executive in the Planning team, having completed her training at Forsters in March 2014. She acts for a range of private and public sector clients including development companies, landowners and institutional investors and advises on all aspects of planning law.

Her experience includes advising on the redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula, London by way of the drafting and negotiation of a complex s.106 Agreement for the Masterplan granted in 2015, pre-application advice prior to the submission of drop-in applications and reserved matters approvals, together with highways related advice, including stopping up orders, s.278 and s.38 Agreements and s.142 licences.

Lauren regularly acts for a number of institutional investors including British Airways Pension Investment Management Limited, Mayfair Capital, Palmer Capital, Patrizia and Aberdeen Standard Investments on both s.106 agreements and s.278 Agreements on residential, commercial and retail developments, as well as reporting on any planning related issues upon purchase.

She advises McDonald’s Restaurants Limited on a wide range of planning matters from due diligence on site purchases, preparing and negotiating s.106 agreements and unilateral undertakings, including on appeal, together with highways related advice including stopping up orders, build over agreements and s.278/s.38 agreements.

Lauren also acts for a number of residential developers both within and outside of London. Advice has included pre-application reviews to ensure applications are free from potential grounds of challenge, the preparation and negotiation of s.106 Agreements addressing phasing of contributions, affordable housing provision, local employment and procurement, financial contributions, together with site specific obligations, as well as advising on Community infrastructure Levy queries and liabilities.

She was also involved in the preparation of the Mayfair Neighbourhood Plan, working alongside the Mayfair Neighbourhood Forum’s Steering Group and members of the local business and residential community.
