Forsters has advised The Mercers’ Company on the redevelopment of Frederick’s Place, London

Forsters has advised longstanding client The Mercers’ Company on the £12 million redevelopment and letting of part of its historic estate at Frederick’s Place in the City of London Guildhall Conservation Area, parts of which were designed by Robert Adam in the 1750s.

The scheme comprises 27,000 sq ft of mixed office and retail space and is part of an ongoing revitalisation of the area surrounding The Mercers’ Hall. The development was designed by John Robertson Architects and managed by Hanover Cube and tenants include MJ Hudson and CORE.

Simon Taylor, Property Director at The Mercers’ Company, describes the development as “first class office space with a great sense of character”.

Partner and Head of Construction, Sarah Cook advised on the deal and was assisted by Commercial Real Estate Counsel Peter Selwyn and Senior Associates, Daniel Burr on construction matters and Kathryn Copeland on the commercial real estate issues. Forsters has recently successfully tendered for legal services for the whole of The Mercers’ Company’s City portfolio.
