Forsters strengthens its Corporate and Finance teams with partnership promotions

Partner promotions add to Forsters' Corporate and Banking and Finance offering

Forsters has expanded its Corporate and Banking and Finance offering with the promotion of two new partners from 1 April.

Simon Collins becomes a partner in the Banking and Finance team.  Simon, who has been a consultant at the firm for several years, is highly experienced in all aspects of real estate finance and his appointment will strengthen Forsters' team, and in particular he will concentrate on lending work. The work undertaken by Forsters' Banking and Finance practice has more than doubled in the last two years.

Victoria Edwards, head of Banking and Finance at Forsters said: I am delighted that Simon has agreed to join us as a partner.  He already has excellent relationships with many of our key real estate and lending clients who appreciate his wealth of experience and clarity of advice.  Last year was our busiest ever year and with Simon on board I am confident of further growth in banking and finance work over the next 12 months."

Christine Dubignon is promoted to partner in Forsters' Corporate group, where she will focus on advising on the corporate aspects of real estate transactions. Christine, who was previously a partner at Howard Kennedy, has a track record of working with property funds, investors, developers, high net worth individuals and property companies on large and complex deals involving real estate assets.

Craigie Pearson, head of Corporate at Forsters, welcomed Christine's appointment saying that: “Since joining Forsters last year Christine has made a significant contribution and she will be a great addition to the partner team.  Her expertise in corporate real estate has been recognised by our property clients who value her sector knowledge and her calm and effective transaction management."

Paul Roberts, Managing Partner at Forsters said: "These appointments reflect our determination to strengthen and enhance our service to real estate clients.  Forsters has grown consistently over the last six years and the expansion of our real estate practice has been an important part of our success.  With an increasing requirement for corporate and banking and finance advice our clients want lawyers working for them, like Simon and Christine,  who can provide sound strategic and commercial legal advice"
