Alex is a Partner in our Private Client department.
He advises individuals (and their holding structures) with economic and personal interests inside and outside the UK on how to optimise their UK tax exposure, while balancing broader concerns such as asset protection, succession planning, and family governance. He also advises UK resident entrepreneurs on optimising the taxation of their businesses, exiting from their businesses, and planning for and after substantial liquidity events.
As part of this broad tax practice, he advises on several specialist UK tax matters, including disputes with HMRC – and also on the taxation of cryptoassets, sportspeople, internationally mobile executives and private equity principals, and consular and diplomatic immunity.
Alex is recognised in the 2025 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders list, writes the chapter on “Trusts with a foreign element” in “Mellows: Taxation for Executors and Trustees”, and co-wrote the chapter on the taxation of cryptoassets in “Cryptoassets for Private Clients”.
