Alfred is an international private wealth lawyer. He advises multi-generational families, family offices and fiduciaries on a range of issues including cross-border estate, tax & succession planning strategy, offshore trusts & private foundations (re)structuring and Family Governance & Family Office Governance.
He has extensive experience developing bespoke wealth structures for families, which often involves working with founders and business families on their business succession planning. He is the Co-Chair of the Business Families Global Special Interest Group within STEP (Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners) and a member of the FFI (Family Firm Institute).

Alfred has a particular focus and interest in advising globalised families in Asia. With family roots in Hong Kong and speaking conversational Cantonese, Alfred is an ‘Ambicultural Adviser’. He has a deep, personal understanding of Asian cultures and how different generations within a family resonate with traditional and modern ideologies, which is vital when addressing business succession, wealth preservation and dynastic planning. He frequently travels to Asia showing his commitment to advising clients on these areas and more.
Alfred has co-led the Diversity and Inclusion Committee with fellow Partner Maryam Oghanna since 2025, driving progress and performance aligned with the firm’s commitment to ensuring everyone feels supported to thrive, to be happy and to bring their true authentic self to the workplace.
