Emma specialises in advising clients on all non-contentious construction aspects of a development, from acquisition, through the development phase (including liaison with any key stakeholders such as tenants or funders) and finally on disposal.
Emma specialises in advising on key construction documents, including both bespoke and standard form building contracts such as JCT, as well as professional team appointments, novation agreements, surety documents, warranties and third party rights. Emma also advises on different procurement routes for construction projects, providing construction input into commercial real estate documents, carrying out due diligence exercises and producing reports on construction documentation.
Emma’s focus is on the design and construction of UK real estate development projects. In particular, Emma has recently been involved in projects relating to offices, hotels and logistics, as well as working on numerous high value residential projects for private individuals.
