Setting the precedent – Forsters help prepare new draft precedent relating to shopping centres

A team at Forsters, comprising Victoria Towers, Louise Irvine, Emma Jay and Elizabeth Chapple, have assisted Practical Law in reviewing and drafting a new precedent lease of a retail unit in a shopping centre.

Forsters were invited by Practical Law to comment and advise on this new document, given our experience in negotiating retail leases acting for both landlords and tenants. The team provided drafting points and commercial considerations, and liaised closely with Practical Law throughout the preparation of this document. This new precedent is available to all with a subscription to Practical Law, and can be adapted for use as a headlease, underlease or renewal lease of a shopping centre unit.

Our Insights

"We benefit from a partner-level service but always with really strong junior members of the team to do the heavy lifting. They are consistently one of the best firms we use."
