Tax Partner, Elizabeth Small has been featured in Mansion Global’s article entitled ‘What Kind of Stamp Duty Can I Expect on a London New Development?’.
The article discusses how the stamp duty changes will impact those purchasing a new-development unit in London, demonstrating that until March 31, 2021, buyers will only pay SDLT on the amount of a home purchase that exceeds £500,000.
For those who already own property however, Elizabeth highlights that there is also a 3% surcharge on additional home purchases.
