Family Values: Simon Blain writes for the STEP Journal

Family Partner, Simon Blain’s article entitled ‘Family Values’ was published in the STEP Journal.

In his article, Simon considers whether there is a growing trend towards private dispute resolution in family law cases in England and Wales.

Simon highlights, that while the court cannot be excluded entirely, the process of achieving a settlement in private disputes need not involve the court. He explains that the trend in recent years has been towards the development of a parallel, privatised, family justice system, most notably through the forms of arbitration and private FDR.
