London's continuing appeal to Asian real estate investors: Chris Myers writes for RETalk

Chris Myers, Head of International Residential Real Estate, wrote for RETalk Asia discussing a notable new trend which is seeing many Asian investors assessing affordability and increasingly looking outside prime central London and instead towards zones 3 and 4.

Chris discusses the challenges faced by investors within the UK market, current development opportunities and attractions, the increasing demand for cheaper units and bulk deals that capitalise on lower commercial rates of SDLT, and the need for specialist tax advice to maximise potential returns. Despite the challenges touched on within the article, Chris remains hugely optimistic about the opportunities London has to offer: "London real estate continues to offer exciting opportunities to Asian investors. With the ever-increasing issue of under-supply of housing and with increasing volatility in international markets, it is understandable why Asian investors continue to evolve their investment strategies to make the most of what London has to offer."
