Natasha Rees quoted in FT Adviser on the government’s latest leasehold reforms

Head of Property Litigation, Natasha Rees’s comments have been published in the FT Adviser article entitled ‘Govt scraps ground rent for millions of leaseholders’.

The article covers the government’s latest plans to give leaseholders the right to extend their lease by up to 990 years at zero ground rent; a significant change that will benefit 4.5 million people.

In her comments, Natasha notes the “significant comfort” the reforms will bring to leaseholders, whilst warning that such complex legislation is likely to take “at least a year” to come into force.
