Ryan is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Disputes team, where he advises on a broad range of property disputes, with particular expertise in residential matters.
His experience covers a wide range of issues, including landlord and tenant disputes (including breach of covenant, disrepair, rent recovery, possession and forfeiture), the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, fire safety and cladding disputes (with a particular focus on leasehold obligations, service charge and remedial cost recovery, funding and BSF access, and lending complications), mortgagee and receiver action, service charges (including Section 20 consultation), trespass claims, property trust disputes, nuisance and negligence, boundary disputes and adverse possession, collective enfranchisement, and debt claims. Ryan’s approach is always to identify practical solutions and achieve clients’ objectives, through litigation where necessary and at a proportionate cost.
Ryan’s clients include individuals, private companies (acting as both landlords and tenants), property developers, receivers, banks and funds.
