Ryan is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Real Estate Disputes team where he advises on a broad range of property disputes with a particular specialism in residential matters.
His experience covers a broad range of issues, including landlord and tenant (breach of covenant, disrepair, rent recovery, possession, forfeiture, etc.), the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, fire safety and cladding disputes (with emphasis on leasehold obligations, service charge/remedial costs recovery, funding and BSF access, and lending complications), mortgagee/receiver action, service charges (including Section 20 consultation), claims in trespass, property trust disputes, nuisance and negligence, boundaries and adverse possession, collective enfranchisement, and debt claims. Ryan’s approach is always to seek practical aims, by litigation if necessary, at proportionate cost.
Ryan’s clients include individuals and private companies (as both landlord and tenants), property developers, receivers, banks and funds.
