Caroline Harbord

Partner, Dispute Resolution

Caroline is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team.

She advises on complex cross border litigation, arbitrations and investigations, with a particular focus on shareholder and joint venture disputes, professional negligence claims, civil fraud, regulatory investigations, claims in connection with directors’ duties and general contractual disputes. During her time in Jersey, Caroline also gained experience advising high net worth individuals and family offices on cross border trust litigation.

Caroline's clients include banks, listed entities, corporates, directors, high net worth individuals, professional service firms, family offices and trust companies. She is noted for her strategic and commercial advice, and her ability to quickly cut through to the heart of the dispute.

She has experience litigating both onshore and offshore. Caroline trained at Taylor Wessing and progressed to the position of senior associate. Between 2016 and 2019, she was a member of the litigation team at Mourant in Jersey. While at Mourant, she undertook a ten-month secondment as General Counsel to Mourant Governance Services.

Caroline was awarded a first in her history degree at the University of Manchester, before obtaining a distinction in both the Graduate Diploma of Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School (finishing second highest in the country in the Graduate Diploma in Law). She joined Forsters in 2019.

Caroline is recognised in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500 as a ‘Rising Star’.
