Patricia BoonSenior Associate, Private Client
Patricia is an senior associate in the Private Client department, working with high net worth individuals within and outside the UK, as well as with trust companies and private banks, on a range of personal tax, trust, and succession and estate planning matters.
She regularly assists non-UK domiciled individuals who require advice prior to becoming UK tax resident, as well as working with clients who are UK resident and domiciled to advise on their tax and estate planning.
The scope of her work includes assisting in relation to cross-border estate planning matters, remittance issues, the UK tax treatment of UK resident and foreign trusts, as well as advising on the UK tax implications of acquiring and holding UK property and on the most recent changes to the rules for the taxation of non-UK domiciled individuals.
She graduated from the University of Oxford in 2007 with a degree in Literae Humaniores and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at BPP in London.
Patricia joined Forsters with the rest of the Gowling WLG London Private Client team in May 2017. She trained at Gowling WLG's predecessor firm Lawrence Graham LLP, qualifying there in 2013.
