James is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Real Estate Disputes team. He advises on both residential and commercial property disputes, with a particular specialism in enfranchisement and the tenant’s rights of first refusal.
His Residential Property practice encompasses the full spectrum of landlord and tenant matters, including service charge disputes, section 20 consolations, professional negligence, recovery of arrears, breach of covenant issues, disrepair and termination.
From an early stage in his career, he has developed a specialism in leasehold enfranchisement and the tenant’s right of first refusal. He has particular experience dealing with complex collective enfranchisement and house claims and have acted in several reported cases including in the Upper Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal.
