Ronan is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate team and Head of Student Accommodation at Forsters. Active across both mainstream and alternative sectors, including offices, industrial, student accommodation and build-to-rent, he leads multidisciplinary teams acting for institutional investors, private equity funds, offshore investors and developers on investment acquisitions and disposals, developments and financing transactions.
He has particular expertise in high-value investment transactions, including large portfolios and income strips, and complex development projects such as forward funding and forward commitment structures. His work in the student accommodation sector led to a broader focus on the living sector, and he is now an experienced adviser across build-to-rent, later living, hotel and student accommodation assets.
Having been with Forsters since 1998, Ronan has developed a deep understanding of the firm’s service offering and works closely with colleagues across the Construction, Corporate, Tax and Planning teams. Combined with his pragmatic, commercial and technically strong advice, this enables him to support clients through every stage of a transaction and become a trusted adviser to many long-standing clients.
