Thérèse Marie is Counsel in the Construction Disputes team and has extensive experience of providing pre-dispute advice to resolve ongoing project issues and advising and developing every facet of a dispute from inception to conclusion (including mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation).
She acts for developers, building owners, main contractors, subcontractors and consultants on all types of construction disputes, including issues surrounding delay, disruption, variations, poor workmanship and/or negligent design, termination, final account, professional negligence claims and building safety. She is known for her tenacity and strategic thinking to keep dispute resolution matters moving and resolved efficiently.
Her clients predominantly come from the commercial real estate sector in particular the development of high end residential and mixed-use properties, as well as purpose-built student accommodation. In this sector, she regularly advises clients on building safety, and on potential claims relating to the Building Safety Act 2022.
Thérèse Marie also has considerable experience in the oil and gas, hydropower, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
