Ryan Didcock

Senior Associate, Property Litigation

Ryan advises on a broad range of property disputes with a particular specialism in residential matters.

His experience covers a broad range of issues, including landlord and tenant (breach of covenant, disrepair, rent recovery, possession/ forfeiture, etc.), the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, fire safety and cladding disputes (with emphasis on leasehold obligations, service charge / remedial costs recovery, funding and BSF access, and lending complications), mortgagee/receiver action, service charges (including Section 20 consultation), claims in trespass, property trust disputes, nuisance and negligence, boundaries and adverse possession, collective enfranchisement, and debt claims. Ryan's approach is always to seek practical aims, by litigation if necessary, at proportionate cost.

Ryan’s clients include individuals and private companies (as both landlord and tenants), property developers, receivers, banks and funds.

Following his degree in English Literature in 2007, Ryan joined Child & Child as a paralegal from 2008 and became a Trainee from 2011. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2014, before moving to Mischon de Reya LLP as an Associate in 2018. He joined Forsters as a Senior Associate in 2021.
