Kirsty Childs is Counsel in the Commercial Real Estate team, specialising in the property aspects of real estate finance. She advises lenders, borrowers, investors and developers on complex investment and development transactions across a broad range of asset classes.
Operating at the intersection of property and finance, Kirsty helps clients navigate the real estate risks that underpin financing transactions, advising on title and lease due diligence, lender reporting, certificates of title, security structures, real estate covenant packages and conditions precedent. She is known for combining technical expertise with commercial judgement, helping clients manage complexity and deliver successful outcomes.
Kirsty has particular expertise in operational real estate, including hotels, build-to-rent, logistics, data centres, care homes and leisure assets. She acts for both lenders and borrowers, bringing a valuable dual-sided perspective to transactions and a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind them.
Alongside her finance practice, Kirsty advises on acquisitions and disposals, development projects, joint ventures and complex mixed-use schemes. This breadth of experience enables her to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice throughout the lifecycle of a real estate asset.
