Later living moves to a consumer-first model as IRCs seek to boost confidence and sales

The ARCO What Next? annual conference, the sector’s flagship event for integrated retirement communities, took place earlier this month — once again providing valuable insight into the current and future direction of later living.
Delivering the traditional government perspective, Matt Turmaine MP reiterated Labour’s support for the IRC model and highlighted how the sector stands to benefit from wider planning reform and efforts to accelerate housing delivery.
With political backing, strong investor interest and a pipeline of developments under way, the conference focused on one of the sector’s biggest current challenges: property sales, which continue to be affected by broader economic conditions.
