Fenwick’s, 7 Brook Street, Mayfair – Lazari

We act for the property development firm, Lazari, in relation to a £50 million+ major makeover of the famous Fenwick’s department store in London’s Mayfair. Lazari is working with architects and designers to radically refurbish the Mayfair branch of Fenwick’s, adding five new upper floors and roof terraces to the buildings, the centrepiece of which is 136 years old. As part of the redevelopment, we have also advised on the pre let of the entire 115,000 sq ft office space at 7 Brook Street to US law firm McDermott Will & Emery, a significant letting that exchanged last year. Lazari, a UK-Cypriot property investor, earlier bought the Fenwick buildings for £430 million, and will now rejuvenate the site at the junction of Brook Street and New Bond Street by demolishing some elements of the buildings to create world-class retail accommodation at ground level, with offices in the upper floors including high quality amenity space such as a restaurant and rooftop terrace.
