Ben Brayford

Partner, Commercial Real Estate and Head of Hotels

Ben is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate group and is head of our highly regarded Hotel and Leisure team.

He deals with a wide variety of real estate work and has particular expertise in relation to long-term, complex development projects. He is a member of the Strategic Land and Development team and works regularly with both developers and landowners on the acquisition, promotion, development and disposal of sites.

Ben typically acts for clients throughout the whole life-cycle of the development from initial acquisition through to planning, funding, development and ultimately disposal. Ben has acted on many different types of projects including a variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes. His work frequently involves co-ordinating and overseeing input from across the firm, including the Planning, Construction, Finance Corporate and Tax teams.

In the hospitality and leisure sector, Ben regularly works with owner-operators, investors and developers, advising them on a range of transactions that include acquisitions and disposals, new developments, sale and leasebacks and financing. He works closely with other members of the Hotel and Leisure team to provide a holistic service to clients bringing together corporate, contentious and strategic advice.

Ben has many long-standing clients and in particular has been a long-term adviser to Knight Dragon in relation to its £8.4 billion, 150 acre Greenwich development – one of Europe’s largest urban regeneration projects - which will provide 15,750 residential units alongside retail, leisure and education facilities.
