Catriona acts for a wide range of clients, including both borrowers and lenders. Clients range from developers, to banks, to trusts and high net worth individuals.

Her work and core expertise is transactional real estate financings – typically complex, high value and time pressured. Her expertise extends to provide support to the Private Client teams with wealth planning and trust loans, as well as support to the Rural team acting for landowners on the raising of finance (including for renewable works) and the sale of land (including for deferred consideration and in respect of contracts conditional on the grant of planning permission for development). Catriona regularly gives straightforward and timely independent legal advice to guarantors and other parties associated with other transactions. She also has a particular interest in rewilding and the financing options available for it.

Catriona liaises with colleagues across Forsters to bring in expertise where required from Commercial Real Estate, Private Wealth, Rural Estates, Tax Advice, Property Litigation, Planning, Corporate and Employment.
