Ashley primarily acts for property owners and developers in relation to urban regeneration projects, and industrial, commercial and residential developments.

Casey Taylor is an associate in the commercial disputes team, working across commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, and group litigation. She advises clients in the financial services and media sectors, particularly on matters that involve complex factual, procedural, or regulatory issues.

Casey works on a range of contentious matters, including commercial and banking disputes, shareholder and boardroom issues, regulatory and enforcement investigations, and managed litigation. Casey takes a careful and pragmatic approach to her work and regularly collaborates with colleagues across corporate, finance, employment, and regulatory teams to address issues that cut across multiple areas of law.

Casey acts for a variety of clients, including financial institutions, regulated businesses, media organisations, and directors and senior management teams. Her work often involves matters where legal risk sits alongside regulatory or reputational considerations.

Alongside her client work, Casey contributes to mentoring, supervision, and internal training. She also has experience advising on pro bono matters, including through legal clinics and a secondment to Reprieve, supporting strategic litigation and international advocacy.

Rory Jutton

Rory is an Associate in the Employment and Partnerships team at Forsters. Rory advises both individuals and employers on a variety of complex contentious and non-contentious matters.

Recommended for his empathetic, detailed orientated approach, Rory understands the importance of learning what is most important to his clients in order to help ensure they achieve the best possible outcome.

Rory is responsive and is passionate about giving clear advice in plain English which is tailored to your needs.

Rory has worked with employer clients across the education, commercial, sport and charity sectors. Rory regularly advises clients on conducting disciplinary and grievance processes, managing redundancy consultation exercises and handling sickness absence amongst others.

Rory has also successfully advised clients in claims of unfair dismissal, whistleblowing detriment and discrimination in the Employment Tribunal. Further, Rory frequently supports clients in negotiating effective resolutions with employees through the use of settlement agreements.

Rory also regularly advises employee clients with an array of different issues including negotiating the contents of settlement agreements. In addition, Rory has even successfully advised an employee client who brought a claim of discrimination on the grounds of race in the Employment Tribunal.

James acts for high net worth individuals, families and fiduciaries in relation to their UK affairs. Creating and managing trusts and other vehicles form a key part of his practice, together with matters relating to family governance. He advises his clients on complex matters relating to their personal and business affairs, with a particular focus on their UK tax and strategic objectives.

James is a qualified TEP and was awarded the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales) in January 2026. He is also a member of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market and sits on its NextGen Committee (PING).

She has experience acting for landowners in negotiating agreements for development and renewables projects, including small-scale through to larger-scale schemes, with a particular focus on natural capital and biodiversity net gain.

Clients include UHNW and HNW individuals, such as estate owners in England and Wales.

Sarah was on the Northern Farming Conference Committee from 2021 until 2024 and continues to act for several clients in North Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland.

She is experienced in cases where there are complex financial disputes and where there is an international element. She has experience with applications within proceedings such as those for freezing injunctions, to join third parties to proceedings and set aside orders.

Olivia regularly acts for parents in private children matters, particularly where there is an international element or where one parent is seeking to relocate. Olivia is also experienced in assisting clients where allegations in relation to parental alienation have been made by either party.

She is committed to supporting a wide range of clients to resolve issues surrounding the breakdown of their relationship. She is experienced in conducting litigation, as well as in supporting clients through alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation.

She acts for investment managers representing institutional investors, charities that hold investment properties and livery companies, and has also acted for major shopping centre owners and pension funds on large shopping centres across the UK.

This includes advising claimants and defendants in will validity disputes, claims pursuant to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, applications concerning the interpretation or construction of wills, claims pursuant to the doctrine of proprietary estoppel, and disputes between beneficiaries and executors. Helena also has experience in contentious court of protection matters and claims involving professional negligence.

Helena joined Forsters in September 2024 from Foot Anstey LLP, where she trained and qualified as a solicitor in January 2023.
